Sorry for the age restriction of the video:
The video is mildly interesting and violence videos are a dime a dozen but the interesting comment is from a discussion board:
The guy is not a native Czech speaker and Czechs are known for not helping if they see someone getting attacked. A lot of it is because if you intervene, they both turn against you. On top of that, you get dragged through the court system for using force.
This tells you a lot of the world.
Rule #1: If you get robbed abroad, do not resist. Your money, your passport, your computer can be replaced. Your life can’t be. Don’t risk it.
Rule #2: While the video did not show a robbery, be careful to intervene if you observe a robbery abroad.
Let me give you a simple example from São Paulo, Brazil. A man gets robbed on the street by another guy. A random passerby steps in to help. What wasn’t obvious is that a third man, waiting nearby on a motorcycle, was also involved. He pulls out a gun, shoots the Good Samaritan, grabs his partner, and the two disappear into the night.
Travel with caution. Honor rule #1, consider honoring rule #2. When travelling, I personally avoid people that brag about “what they would do if they ever get robbed”.
