Uruguay Digital Nomad Visa

Urugay Flag

Uruguay has demonstrated a particularly welcoming stance towards digital nomads with its highly accessible visa program. The key features of Uruguay’s digital nomad visa include:

  1. Minimal cost: The visa application fee is remarkably low at just $11, making it one of the most affordable options globally.
  2. No income threshold: Unlike many other countries, Uruguay does not impose minimum income requirements for digital nomad visa applicants.
  3. Duration: The visa is initially valid for 6 months and can be extended once, potentially allowing for a full year’s stay.
  4. Family considerations: While the visa is accommodating to families, it’s important to note that separate applications must be submitted for spouses and dependents.

These favorable conditions reflect Uruguay’s eagerness to attract remote workers and digital nomads, offering them an opportunity to experience the country’s culture and lifestyle with minimal bureaucratic barriers. The combination of low cost, absence of income requirements, and flexible duration makes Uruguay’s digital nomad visa an attractive option for a wide range of remote professionals.
